We have packed many things into our 1 week stay. Parades are not huge on our list. Rather tour or eat! We have tickets to the MK Christmas evening. Will this parade suffice? We also would like to catch Jungle Parade at AK.... Missing out? Thanks!

Everyone has different things that are important to them. On the Moms Panel, we have a wide range of priorities for our Disney vacations. For example, I tend to have many table service meals scheduled during my trip (at least 2, sometimes, 3 a day). I love to relax during my vacation meals. I enjoy savoring the fact that someone besides me is doing the meal prep, cooking, and cleaning. I believe Moms Panelist Bret thinks I'm crazy -- but in a good way :-) -- to "waste" so much time sitting in restaurants. For him, exploring the rides is a bigger priority. Neither perspective is wrong. They're both right for our own individual families.

Another example is fireworks. Moms Panelist Michelle has written that they're not usually her thing, but Heather R has written that she loves them. One of my favorite parts about WDW is that there's so much to do and see that no matter what your interests are, you'll find something that suits your fancy.

That was a too long intro to me saying that I'm not a big parade person. I do happen to really like SpectroMagic, those twinkling lights are magic to me, but a regular daytime parade I could take or leave. If parades are not your thing, then it's fine to skip them or limit them to one or two. It's impossible to do everything at WDW in a single vacation. In fact, it's impossible to do everything at WDW in several dozen vacations. You're going to have to make choices and miss things. And you never know what opportunities will present themselves when you do miss things. Maybe while everyone else is watching the 3:00 parade, you'll be getting to ride Splash Mountain 5 times in a row, or be watching your kids finally meet their favorite character, or getting surprised by the Dream Squad, or having a fabulous meal, or getting buried in the sand at your hotel by your children.

I think just watching the Christmas parade is a fine choice. Do what make sense for your family and you'll have a wonderful trip.
