What do you pack for a visit in Dec? we want to look our holiday best when we see Mickey and Minnie on Christmas morning.

    Hi Denise,

I've been to Walt Disney World several times in December, experiencing temperatures ranging from the 40s to the 80s. So my main piece of advice to you is to check the weather forecast a few days before you trip and adjust your packing accordingly.

When I travel to WDW in the winter, I bring layers. I might start out in the morning wearing a short sleeved tee, covered by a long sleeved tee, covered by a sweater or sweatshirt. As the day warms up, I'll peel off the layers.

I've been to WDW for Thanksgiving twice, Christmas once, and will be there for Christmas again this year. During the holidays, my family likes to have a meal at one of Disney's fine signature restaurants. There are dress codes at these places, so we'll bring dresses for myself and my daughters and nice slacks for my husband.

On Christmas day, my family wore our usual park attire at the Magic Kingdom, but added fuzzy Santa hats for everyone. This gave an extra special touch to our photos that day. If you have festive holiday sweaters, that could give the same feel.

And I have to tell you about my all time FAVORITE family photo. I secretly brought matching PJs for the entire family for Christmas morning. We were staying at the Polynesian and we all went down to the beach wearing our PJs and Santa hats. We took photos with the Castle and Space Mountain in the background. So. Much. Fun.

Good luck with your planning. Have a magical holiday at Walt Disney World.
