Hi, Shannon! This has to be the number one question I get from my friends. Over the years, my packing list has changed as my family has changed. Whereas diapers and baby food used to appear, they have now been replaced with Disney trading pins and lots (and lots) of bathing suits. One thing that does maintain a top presence on the list - comfortable shoes! I cannot stress enough the need for them! You will do a lot of walking during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, so pack some great shoes that you have worn enough to be broken in. You will also be out in the sun a lot, so keep the sunscreen handy! Some thing that you do not need if you are
staying at a Resort hotel are shampoo, soap, hair dryer, and towels. Those will be provided for you.
Here are some basic items to consider, and try not to overpack!
-MagicBands
-Travel documents and flight information
-List of confirmation numbers (resort, dining reservations, special events)
-Identification and medical information cards
-Cash, debit cards, credit cards
-Since you will be traveling in October, bring a lightweight jacket in case of cool evenings
-Keep your clothing simple. Tees and shorts are fine, but bring a pair of long pants if a cool evening is expected. Each resort has handy laundry rooms for a quick wash when needed.
-Sunglasses, umbrella, ponchos for the parks
While we may not have an "official packing list of the Disney Parks Moms Panel," my fellow panelist, Lindsey, has shared a great printable one on her blog. She covers all of the necessities as well as little things you may need when traveling with infants or toddlers who are potty training. Doing a web search for "Redhead Baby Mama Disney packing list" should help you easily find it.
I hope this helps you get ready for your upcoming trip! Please let us know if you have any other questions!
