Susan from CT Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I own a condo in Florida but do not live there at this time. It sounds like I am able to get resident prices on tickets. If so, do I purchase them and then get them activated once i show verification at the ticket center? It is a bit confusing to me.

Hi, Susan! Or should I say, Howdy, neighbor! I'm a resident of the Sunshine State, so I'd love to help you plan a visit to our home away from home, Walt Disney World Resort

As a property owner here in Florida, you may be eligible for the magical discounts and perks our friend Mickey offers residents. I especially love taking advantage of the special Florida Resident rates for stays at Disney Resorts Collection Hotels, so be sure you're set up for email notifications through your My Disney Experience account. You'll be notified when resident deals on resort stays and theme park tickets are available. Those are my favorite emails!

Susan, when you purchase your Theme Park Tickets online, you'll have the opportunity to use Digital Residency Verification at checkout. If you have a valid Florida driver's license, a Florida state-issued ID card, or a Florida-based Military ID card, you will enter the required information online and you'll be set. You should be able to go straight to the theme parks and use your ticket. Remember, each adult guest with a Florida Resident theme park ticket is required to provide this information.

You can still purchase your Florida Resident tickets online if you don't have any of the above Florida-issued IDs. When you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort, head to the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs, or Guest Relations at any Theme Park entrance to show proof of a residential Florida address along with a government-issued photo ID. Some examples include a recent mortgage bill for your Florida Property or a current utility bill. The complete list of acceptable documents can be found at the online Help Center. The same proof of residency rules will apply to resort stays booked with a resident discount.

Susan, I hope you're able to enjoy some great deals as a Florida Resident! Maybe I'll see ya real soon around the parks! Stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
