Welcome to planDisney, Ashley! It sounds like you are planning the ultimate road trip this year! You'll certainly be humming "Life is a Highway" as you ride all night long on your journey to The Happiest Place on Earth.
Traveling via RV is a great way to save money by combining transport and accommodation all in one! While Walt Disney World Resort is known for its Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, which sits on over 700 acres, there is no counterpart at Disneyland Resort. Even though there aren't any campgrounds on Disneyland property, there are several RV campgrounds nearby, including the Anaheim Harbor RV Park, located just under a mile from the front entrance (about a 15-minute walk). These campgrounds offer overnight parking for your RV, but they book up months in advance, so make arrangements soon.
There is one exception to this rule: you can park an RV at any of the three official
Disneyland Resort Hotels (however, you cannot spend the night in it, wink wink)! These hotels offer overnight parking for registered hotel Guests only, but oversized vehicle parking rates will apply. Recreational and Oversized Vehicle Parking is also provided at the Toy Story Parking Area near the theme parks, but accommodations for overnight parking are not available. See the
Parking page on the Disneyland website for the most up-to-date information and fees.
I hope this helps, Ashley! If you enjoy driving on Route 66, then be sure to check out Cars Land at
Disney California Adventure Park.
Radiator Springs Racers is one of my favorite attractions; just watch those hairpin turns!
