Will be in orlando on 2/29 trying to see if besides it being opened 24 hours will there be any surprises in store for the special day? Not everyone in my family can go that day and I wanted our first day to be together just wondering if it would b worth it

To date Disney has not announced anything that is going on special on February 29, 2012, beyond the extra operating hours and some of the special vacation package offers.

However, you can be sure that the parks will probably be fairly busy for that time of year, and I would expect that Disney will lay on a lot of extra fun for guests.

If it were me, I would be more about waiting for the family to enjoy it together if possible too, but if you have the chance to be there and get some extra rides in, I think it might well be worth it. You will still have plenty of time for the whole family to make memories together the rest of the trip!

    Have a magical vacation!
