    We will be in Orlando during September 11th, will they be doing anything special or will they be holding any ceremonies in any of the theme parks, downtown Disney or the Boardwalk?

    Hello Roshni,

    As a New Yorker (my husband works in Manhattan), I fully understand your desire to pay tribute to the events of September 11, 2001. Unfortunately, I do not know of any memorials or services that will be going on at Walt Disney World to mark the occasion.

    I will tell you that there are Disney trading pins which honor police and firefighters in general. These show Mickey Mouse shaking hands with these heroes. Perhaps wearing one of these pins on 9/11 would be a fitting tribute to the memory of the day.
