I will be in Orlando Dec 13-16th with my 5 yr old grandson. Can anyone give me an idea on how crowded it is at WDW during the day or is it better to go to Mickey's Very Christmas at night? I have been there on Christmas during the day and it was packed!

    Hi Christine!

I think you're in for a pleasant surprise! The week leading up to Christmas is typically much lower in crowds than the week between Christmas and New Years Day. I do think you'll see the park attendance slowly increase as it approaches Christmas, but it should still be quite manageable.

Typically, I've found that Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parties are not quite as crowded as the daytime, but there are also differences in offerings between the day and night. Some rides are not offered during the party and the shows do change to have more of a Christmas theme. I do think the party is quite fun - you'll get to see it snow on Main Street, see the special holiday fireworks and a special holiday version of the nighttime parade.

I don't think you can go wrong with either choice! Hope you have a wonderful trip!
