We were originally planning our first & probably only trip for the end of April 2013 but now considering the week after Thanksgiving this year. Which week is better in your opinon and if the November week is impacted by Pop Warner.

Hi, Peggy Ann!  Congratulations on your first Walt Disney World vacation! This decision is no contest for me.  I would choose the week after Thanksgiving so that you and your family can experience the wonderful holiday decorations and experiences, cooler weather, and fewer Guests. I want to highly recommend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party as a must-do event!
I checked the Pop Warner website, and it states, "The 2012 Pop Warner Super Bowl and National Cheer & Dance Championships will take place November 30th through December 8th at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex."  When making reservations, I would find out which resorts are the official hosts of the teams and then steer away from those.  The competitions don't greatly influence the crowds in the parks. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
