Hi there, Christopher! Thanks for taking the time to send in your question to planDisney! I see you have a trip coming up in a few short days, and I'm happy to help.
I spoke with a Reservations Cast Member today, and she confirmed that park reservations are associated with your hotel reservation number, and the system needs everything to match. Consequently, she recommended that you cancel your original theme park reservations that you made when you booked at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel and make new ones to match up with your stay at the Disneyland Hotel. One of the benefits of staying at one of the
Disneyland Resort Hotels is access to a separate
calendar to make your
Disneyland theme park reservations, and often, there is more availability. When I checked today, there are still openings for your desired dates.
I'm excited that you decided to stay at the
Disneyland Hotel, Christopher! The theming is very whimsical. I especially love the switch that lights up the fiber optics in the headboard and plays "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes." It feels like a goodnight kiss! Hidden Mickeys abound throughout the decor, so take time to look for them. They also recently upgraded to platform beds to help maximize room storage. Another fun feature is the
Disneyland Monorail, which starts from a location inside the security checkpoint of Downtown Disney just steps from the hotel's exit, allowing you to travel straight to Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park.
And don't forget that the original
Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar is located right at the Disneyland Hotel! If you are a fan of the famed Jungle Cruise attraction, you will feel right at home. My favorite drink is the flaming Uh Oa! (but don't let the Tiki Gods know that I told you)! The Panko-crusted Long Beans are also pretty tasty. If you're traveling with Mousketeers, they welcome all ages to the indoor area until 8 PM; after 8 PM, the area is restricted to Guests 21 years of age and over.
I hope you have a magical time, Christopher! See ya real soon!
