Hello Benjamin!
The
Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect place for vacations with family and friends and especially family reunions! You are wise to begin planning early, especially if you will have a large group. While it is not possible to book your trip this early, you can begin some of the decision-making of where you’d like to stay, how long you’d like to visit, and what the budget will be so family members can begin their planning.
Since you still have plenty of time, I would recommend you begin by looking at each family’s budget and narrow it down to a few resorts you think you’d like to stay at. It may be important to consider the budget and the sizes of rooms available for different families. Some good options to consider might be
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort which offer both standard size rooms that sleep four and Family Suites that sleep up to 6. Another idea to consider is staying at a resort that offers
Deluxe Villa Accommodations. A Deluxe Studio sleeps 4-5 and features a kitchenette. You’ll also find 1, 2, and 3 bedroom villas that sleep between 4 and 12 Guests and feature full kitchens and washer and dryers in the room! As a family of 6, we love the 2 Bedroom Villas where the teenagers have plenty of room to spread out, and we save on our food budget by making some of our meals in our room. For a laid-back and relaxed atmosphere my family loves
Disney's Old Key West Resort, or if we prefer to be in the middle of the action,
Disney's BoardWalk Villas allows us to walk to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios!
If you have a large family and will be booking at least 10 rooms, you may be eligible for group pricing on your rooms. Contact
Disney Group Getaways for more information!
I would also consider using an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner if you have a larger group, especially if you aren’t experienced Disney travelers. An Authorized Disney Vacation Planner is a travel agent who specializes and has additional training in booking Disney vacations. Many Guests assume that using a travel agent has an associated cost to the Guest, but it doesn’t! Their services are free to travelers! They can assist with booking resort reservations, looking for special offers and discounts, booking dining, airlines, and more! A quick search of your preferred internet browser for the term Authorized Disney Vacation Planner should yield several options to choose from!
Please know that as you continue to plan your visit, that
planDisney is here to help. We can offer suggestions on resorts and dining, tips and tricks for that perfect Disney Day, what attractions are good for seniors or little ones, and more! I hope you’ll continue to submit questions!
Wishing you a Magical Day!
