    Hi, organising our first visit Jan 1 - Jan 7 2013 - for hubby, me and 7yo daughter. Coming from Australia so really want to make the most of the trip. Starting to make ADRs - do most people eat at the same park they spend the day in? Thanks in advance :)

    Welcome to the Mom's Panel, Kathryn!  Congratulations on your first Walt Disney World Vacation!  How exciting that you will be traveling from Australia to the "Happiest Place on Earth" in January!  You should be able to enjoy seeing many of the Christmas decorations adorning the parks during your visit! I completely understand wanting to maximize your time in the parks in order to make the most of your trip. When I plan our Walt Disney World Vacations, I traditionally plan our Advanced Dining Reservations based on which park we will be visiting that day. Because we always have the Park Hopper Option on our Magic Your Way Tickets, we do sometimes "park hop" during the day and then dine in that park as well. We also enjoy dining at one of the Magic Kingdom Resorts that are on the monorail line (Disney's Polynesian Resort, Disney's Contemporary Resort, or Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa) when visiting Magic Kingdom as we can easily travel to the resorts utilizing the monorail. On days that we do not visit a theme park, we enjoy dining at either Downtown Disney or one of the Disney Resorts. I would recommend making your Advanced Dining Reservations as soon as possible as many of the most popular dining locations fill up rather quickly. Guests can begin making Advanced Dining Reservations 180 days in advance by calling (407) WDW-DINE or by going online here. I hope this information helps!  Please feel free to write me back with any additional questions or if I can offer any dining recommendations.
