When ordering the beverage part of a meal on the dining plan, can the kids order milkshakes, smoothies, fun themed drinks as long as they don't come in souvenir cups or are they only able to choose the basic water, milk, or soft drink? Thank you!

    Hi Courtney!

The Disney dining plan is a great way to experience the many cuisines available at Walt Disney World.  From Africa to China, Mexico to Canada, there are foods to please every palate, and with the DDP, you save up to 30 percent off the cost of dining.

According to the Disney website, the dining plan covers "one (1) non-alcoholic drink" per meal, be it quick service or table service. Typically, that encompasses milk, juice, coffee, soda...etc.  We have been able to order non alcoholic mixed drinks, such as a piña colada or a strawberry daquiri for kids at some of the dining experiences, such as 'Ohana, Kona, Citricos, to name a few, but its truly hit or miss.  Traditionally, the restaurants will stick to the usual suspects when ordering drinks, but it never hurts to ask if they can substitute a coke for a vanilla shake.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
