Hi, I just ordered Epcot tickets and accidentally put my daughter’s maiden name instead of her married name, is that okay?

Hi there, Linda! Welcome back to planDisney! It’s such a wonderful day to stop back by and ask another excellent Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

Epcot is the perfect destination for all of those with the heart of an adventurer! Whether you’re interested in peering into the future, traveling into outer spacer journeying across this wonderful world, there’s an attraction that will captivate your imagination and curiosity during your day at this theme park. During your upcoming visit, though, I highly recommend taking time to explore the Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival! This seasonal event is a celebration of all things springtime and Guests can enjoy exploring beautiful gardens, listen to live entertainment, and savor delicious dishes at the various outdoor kitchens. As major foodies, we love sampling all of the fresh cuisines that are based around local agriculture!

I am happy to report that your daughter should not experience any problems when using her theme park ticket, however, I may have a few solutions to ease your concerns. Prior to using a theme park ticket, the name on the ticket may be reassigned. If you’re interested in correcting your daughter’s last name, you may do so by reaching out to the Existing Tickets phone line for assistance.

Otherwise, I would just recommend having your daughter save a copy of her marriage certificate on her phone before your stay. This way, she can show a copy of her name change if the need arises. My husband and I had a very similar situation come up during our own travels and we felt much more at ease carrying a copy of the name change paperwork just in case!

I hope this information assists you in planning the perfect vacation to Walt Disney World Resort later this month! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as well!
