Welcome to planDisney, Judith!
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay. My, oh, my, I bet you’re glad your trip is less than one week away! Can you believe you’ll be soaring with Dumbo, sailing through tropical jungles, and traveling to galaxies far, far away so soon? I bet your excitement is bursting at the seams!
I’m sorry to hear Wreck-It Ralph wrecked your
MagicBand order. I know how disappointing that must have been. The good news is most
merchandise locations in
Walt Disney World Resort sell an assortment of MagicBands, so you can indeed purchase them once you arrive. I suggest you start by checking the Ink & Paint Shop at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to see if anything piques your interest. It’s located right in the lobby, so it will be easy to take a look after you check in at the Front Desk. If you don’t see anything you like at the Ink & Paint Shop, I suggest you peruse the shelves at
Creations Shop in
EPCOT or at the
Emporium or Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. in
Magic Kingdom Park. Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. also has a D-Tech On Demand kiosk inside where you can design your own MagicBand and have it printed.
Judith, if you end up purchasing a MagicBand when you arrive, you will then need to link it to your
My Disney Experience account in order to use it. The easiest way to do this is via your
My Disney Experience Mobile App by following these simple steps:
- Click on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner and select "My Profile."
- Select "MagicBands & Cards" from the list of options.
- Click "Link a MagicBand or Card."
- Scan the ID number from the back of the MagicBand or manually enter it on the screen, then click "Submit."
- Choose the name of the individual from your Family & Friends List to assign the MagicBand to and confirm that everything is correct.
Judith, I hope this information is helpful, but please
let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck on your MagicBand quest, and enjoy every magical moment of your vacation!
See ya real soon,
Alyssa
