Chim chim cher-ee, Katrin.
Oh, it's a jolly holiday at Disney! I'm so glad you followed that trail of pixie dust that led you here to planDisney, but I'm even more excited to hEAR you will be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth during
The World's Most Magical Celebration in just two months! Are you ready to have a truly supercalifragilisticexpialidocious vacation?
Katrin, Disney Gift Cards are accepted as a form of payment at nearly every location at Walt Disney World Resort. As long as the printout of your Disney Gift Card contains a barcode, you will be able to use it to pay for meals, snacks, souvenirs, and more on your vacation. Just let the Cast Member know at checkout that you have a Disney Gift Card that needs to be scanned instead of swiped, and you’ll be good to go. You can also open the email containing your Disney Gift Card and have the Cast Member scan the barcode from there.
Since you’ll be here during the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, you might consider purchasing one of the special Festival Disney Gift Cards (a minimum of $15 is required) from
Creations Shop or a Festival merchandise location. You can then add the Festival Gift Card as one of the saved gift cards in your account on the
Disney Gift Card website and transfer the balance from your printed gift card to the Festival gift card. Not only does this serve as a backup in case you misplace your paper gift card, but the Festival gift card is also a wristlet that you can wear on your wrist for safekeeping.
I hope your jolly holiday to The Most Magical Place on Earth is practically perfect in every way, Katrin. Please stop back by planDisney if you have further questions. We'd be happy to help!

Alyssa
