Welcome back to planDisney, Carolyn!
I love that you will be celebrating a birthday at Disney World! Each year, we give our kids the choice of a birthday party or a weekend with the Mouse (it helps that we are Minnie's neighbors). It's about a 50/50 split - this year, my boys are having a party, my daughter is going to celebrate at Disney's Polynesian Resort!
We ordered a Donald Duck-themed cake for my husband a few years back. Disney made it so easy to celebrate him at Trattoria al Forno! While your hotel's guest services will be happy to explain the process, if you want Disney to make and deliver the cake, it must be done through the restaurants. I suggest googling local cake deliveries if you want a cake delivered to your resort, or consider having cupcakes delivered through
Magical Floral & Gifts.
But you'll be delighted with what Disney has to offer! You can have a
Mickey Mouse Celebration cake delivered to multiple restaurants. The cakes come in various flavors, and you can add signature engraving. If you'd like other options,
Amorette's Patisserie at Disney Springs offers special-order cakes and Character Dome Cakes based on the six OG Disney characters.
Let me help you walk through ordering:
► Choose your
celebration restaurant► Order the cake when you make your reservation or through the
My Disney Experience app► If you'd prefer to order in person, head to the restaurant's podium at least 4 days in advance
► You can order a same-day cake on arrival at participating restaurants, but your choices might be limited
► If you choose Amorette's, you can call or swing by the shop in person at least 48 hours before your celebration
Good luck with your planning. I wish you a birthday celebration that is practically perfect in every way!
