What are the options to store a lightsaber made in Savi's Workshop? Or does it have to be carried around all day? Trying to see if my reservation needs to be changed to later in the evening.

Hello there, Autumn! Welcome to planDisney. Crafting our own custom lightsabers at Savi’s Workshop was a pivotal moment for my daughters and me. It was a true milestone in our journey toward the Force. I’m thrilled that you’ll soon be forging your own connection to a kyber crystal. It’s an experience worthy of any Jedi (or curious Padawan) on their path.

While you won’t be able to store your lightsaber in Savi’s Workshop after it’s built, I’ve got a few options to help you handle this mission like a seasoned Rebel pilot. One of the most convenient choices is the complimentary merchandise hold service available at select retail locations throughout the park. This service allows you to stash your galactic gear without lugging it through every star system in the Disneyland Resort. You can check the Disneyland website for a full list of participating shops. Just bring your purchases and receipts, and your lightsaber will be stored safely until the park closes. It's the next best thing to hyperspace cargo hold.

Another helpful option: a Cast Member inside Savi’s Workshop confirmed that lightsabers can be shipped directly from Batuu to your home planet. Just let the team inside the workshop know you’re interested in shipping your lightsaber, and they’ll guide you to the in-shop shipping station. Since shipping is handled by USPS, the cost will depend on weight. All you’ll need is your lightsaber and your receipt to complete the transaction. No need to worry about sneaking past any First Order checkpoints.

Lastly, locker rentals are available in the Esplanade, the area between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Two locker stations are located here: one to the left of the Disneyland entrance and one to the left of the Disney California Adventure entrance. These lockers come in five sizes: Small (9.5” wide x 11” tall x 18” deep); Medium (12.5” wide x 17” tall x 18” deep); Large (15” wide x 16.6” tall x 22.6” deep); Extra-large (15” wide x 23” tall x 22.6” deep); and Jumbo (18” wide x 25” high x 37” deep). If you’re planning to rent a locker for your saber, the Jumbo size should be more than enough space for your custom hilt and protective sheath.

Autumn, I hope this information helps you plan your upcoming adventure to Savi’s Workshop. Should you have any other questions (whether you’re navigating Batuu, building droids, or searching for blue milk) just send us a transmission here at planDisney.

And until then… May the Force be with you!
