Hey there, Samantha!
Welcome to planDisney! I’m here to make sure your visit is as smooth as
Dole Whip, so you’ve come to the right place. Let’s dive into some magical tips to help you and your son navigate the parks without feeling like you’ve been through Hercules' training regimen. Even though the Disneyland Monorail and Disneyland Railroad are currently closed for refurbishment, there are still plenty of options for you to have a magical experience without too much walking.
Renting a wheelchair or
ECV (Electric Convenience Vehicle) scooter is a great way to help you enjoy the parks with ease! You can conveniently rent one just outside the theme park entrance, east of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance. Heads up, though—they can't be reserved in advance, so arriving early is a smart move. I’d suggest getting there about 30 minutes
before the parks open to snag one before the crowds build up.
When you rent a manual wheelchair or an ECV, you make a $20 deposit on top of the rental fee. At the time that I am writing this, manual wheelchairs can be rented for $15 per day, and ECV rental is $60 per day. Just keep in mind that prices can change, so it's always a good idea to check the latest rates on the Disneyland website. These rentals will help you navigate the parks more comfortably and efficiently—quicker than Lightning McQueen can say, “
Ka-chow!”
I hope these tips help you prepare for a smooth visit to the Happiest Place On Earth, Samantha! I'm as excited as you are for your visit in just a few short days - the countdown is on! Feel free to
message me directly for a quicker response.
