Hey there, April! Welcome to planDisney. It seems you're planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, but you want to explore options in case of an early departure. I think you'll find that Cast Members throughout the resort are dedicated to accommodating various scenarios, including the need to leave early.
How you will be refunded, if at all, will depend on a couple of different factors. Did you book a room-only reservation, a vacation package, or do you simply just want to cut your vacation short by a day or two? Alternatively, are you looking to cancel your entire visit? Regardless of your circumstances, let me go through your different options!
For complete cancellations:
• Room-only reservations: cancellations made five (5) or more days in advance of your visit will receive a full refund to the payment method used at the time of booking. Cancellations made zero (0) to four (4) days in advance will forfeit the cost of a one-night stay.
• Vacation packages: if you have booked your visit as a Vacation Package (room, tickets, Enchanting Extras, etc.) you can cancel your entire package up to 30 days out from arrival for a full refund, two (2) to 29 days from arrival for a $200 cancelation fee (this price could change), and cancelations made the day before or day of your visit cannot be refunded. Refunds, if applicable, will go back to the form of payment used at the time of booking.
For modifications:
If you aren’t currently on vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort and don’t want to cancel your reservation entirely, I would recommend contacting a Cast Member at the number listed for Disney Resort Hotel Reservations under the Reservations and Tickets section of the site or modifying your hotel or vacation package by signing into your Disney Account and going to My Reservations where you will find a link to modify your reservation.
If you are wondering about needing to unexpectedly cut your stay short while already on the property, I spoke to a Cast Member and was informed it would be up to the resort on how that situation would be handled. Feel free to email your question to a Disney Cast Member with your specific vacation information, and they will get back to you as soon as possible. If I can clarify anything further for you, please ask me a question directly at planDisney, and I will be happy to elaborate more.
Thanks,
Brent
