Aloha Bonifacio!
Welcome to planDisney! With my visit to
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa coming up next month, I have been looking into this same issue. Our early morning flight was changed by the airline to a red-eye back to Chicago!
Guests with late flights are welcome to stay and enjoy the amenities at the resort for the remainder of the day. We plan to relax and swim until it is time to head to the airport. There are restrooms located in the
Waikolohe Valley pool area, and so one option would be to change there. Additionally, all beaches in Hawaii are public beaches, and conveniently each lagoon at Ko’Olina has a public bathroom area with showers and fresh drinking water. At the Aulani Lagoon, you’ll find the public showers and restrooms on the south side of the lagoon, along the sidewalk walking toward the Marriott. If you prefer a shower before heading to the airport, this might be an option.
While it wouldn’t be a place to shower and change, if you would like to relax at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, did you know there is a Ko’Olina Club Lounge exclusively for guests staying at the Ko’Olina resorts? Guests of Aulani are welcome to make a complimentary reservation for this lounge where you can stay for up to 2 hours before or after your flight. You’ll find comfy seating, wifi and charging station, and soft drinks and small snacks available for purchase.
I would also mention that a lot can change before your trip. Hawaii will be reevaluating its tier system after June 2. With almost 45% of the Hawaii population vaccinated, positivity rates could decrease and changes could happen before your visit. I would continue to keep an eye on
Aulani’s Know Before You Go page, or feel free to check back here with us at planDisney before your visit.
Mahalo for stopping by with your question, Bonifacio!
