Ahoy, Kassandra!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You've asked a great question about how to handle a plant-based diet aboard Disney Cruise Line. The first thing I would do is call Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 to have your
special dietary request noted on your cruise reservation. This way your dining team will have this important information before you step foot onboard in December. You will not be committed every single meal, but some planning does go into providing vegan options so pre-ordering will be the key if you want to eat vegan. Your servers will speak with you each night about what's available for the following day, so they can provide you with some tasty choices at your meal times. If you choose to visit
Cabanas (the casual dining restaurant) for breakfast and lunch, you will need to inquire about vegan options, as they are not typically offered at the various food stations since this venue is set-up like a buffet with no menu. The servers there will be happy to assist you with your selections if you choose to dine at this location. There is always a sit-down option available for breakfast and lunch as well.
At dinner, your wonderful servers are going to work with you each night to make sure you enjoy a delightful dining experience. My best piece of advice is to have open lines of communication with them and your head server and feel free to ask about what your options are onboard. They may be able to tweak a recipe to make the perfect dish for you, but you won't know if you don't inquire.
I hope this helps, Kassandra. Please feel free to write back if you have any other questions about your Very Merrytime Cruise coming up real soon!
Have a WONDERful day!
Nancy
