Hi! what is your opinion on the Grand Floridian? Also how is the kids club there, is it as good as the polynesian's kids club?

    Kimberley,

My family has become lovers of both the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian. We prefer the Poly for the wonderfully immersive theming. But we like the Grand Floridian for the pools. In the case of the Grand Floridian, the main theme pool is better for us because the slide is open (as opposed to the closed tube that goes through the volcano at the Poly) and the girls enjoy that more. Additionally, the second pool at the Grand Floridian is a large, child-friendly pool as well, whereas at the Poly the second pool is a pretty dull affair more for adults. So this makes for more kid-friendly pool space which then minimizes overcrowding.

For our next trip we are returning to the Grand Floridian, and probably will then go back to the Poly to mix it up a bit. So clearly I am a fan, and if you can afford it you will be too.

As for the Mouseketeer Club, we love that too. It is most certainly smaller than the club at the Polynesian (the Neverland Club), so in a strict side-by-side comparison the Polynesian would probably win out. But for our girls it is more about the interaction with the Cast Members, the games and crafts, and generally having a good time. When looking at it that way, they are going to be happy, as the cast members at both are great. So we usually choose based on convenience. Since the walkway between the two resorts is temporarily closed due to construction, staying at our resort's Child Activity Center is a no-brainer. If the walk way was open, then we would flip a coin. Polynesian for the larger space, Grand Floridian for the convenience.

    I hope that this helps?
