Welcome Home, Shaunte!
Thanks for stopping by to see the
Disney Vacation Club Panelists here on planDisney!
Using your Vacation Points to stay at the Disneyland Resort is a great option. I’ve been crossing my fingers and hoping there would be a second Disney Vacation Club Resort opened at Disneyland, but for right now, we’ll just have to keep wishing on a star!
While you can book a Disney Vacation Club room at
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa online, booking a non-villa stay changes things a bit and it cannot be done online. Your Disney Vacation Club
Vacation Points will be converted into
Reservation Points, and then those newly converted points can be used to book
standard resort rooms at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland, and towards vacations with Disney Cruise Line and Adventures by Disney. But all of that does necessitate a call to Member Services. Also, while these transactions are normally subject to a fee, that fee is waived for stays at the Disneyland Resort, so no fee for you! Yay!
I’ve had better luck getting through to Member Services recently with shorter hold times. I’ve found first thing in the morning, and towards closing tend to be better times to call. I also use my cell phone and place it on speaker. Then I relax and listen to the fun Disney hold music while I get other things accomplished!
I hope this helps as you plan your Disneyland trip, Shaunte! I hope you’ll come back to visit us here at planDisney with more questions as your trip approaches! We even have
Disneyland experts here to help! Wishing you
