Ahoy, Susan! I am so glad to meet you here at planDisney. It sounds like your
Disney Cruise Line vacation is just a few weeks after mine. Getting ready to book activities is a joy, and it means the cruise is getting close!
Let's goooo!Your question is so timely for me. I just happened to update the "
Disney Cruise Line Booking Window" appointment on my work calendar next week to remind me in the middle of the day rather than 11:45 pm. I know. It's as if I don't have the date burned in my memory, but when
Palo Steakhouse reservations are on the line, I leave nothing to chance. Add the timing of Daylight Savings, and I completely understand wanting to get all the
whoozits and whatzits galore straight.
True confession time: I never know if we are starting or ending Daylight Savings or Standard Time. I do know "Spring Forward. Fall Back." So, let's walk through the day to make sure you know when you can
log in and see those reservations pop up!
At 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 9, your internet-connected clocks will
automagically spring forward to 3 a.m. Your online booking window opens on Monday, March 10, 12:00:01 a.m. (one second after midnight on Sunday). So you will go to bed Saturday in Standard Time, wake up Sunday morning in the new Daylight Savings Time, and stay up until just after midnight as Sunday becomes Monday to start booking activities at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
Your clocks should be updated, and you will have the daytime behind you as you get ready to book
Port Adventures and
onboard activities like
Senses Spa appointments and
adult-exclusive dining. The good news is, with the time change, midnight will feel more like 11 p.m.
Susan, I hope writing it out helps you. I'm a visual person, so it helped me. I also hope you can get the reservations of your dreams and your adventure in the great, wide somewhere is absolutely magical. If we can help with any other questions, please cruise back by
planDisney. We understand the questions and will get the answers!
Life is the Bubbles!
