Welcome aboard, Beth! Planning for your very first Disney Cruise is such a magical experience! You are in for all sorts of excitement and surprises!
I hope you were able to book a private cabana at
Castaway Cay when you began your online check in this week. Since guests who have sailed with Disney before get to book their activities prior to new guests, the popular cabanas may have been sold out by the time you were online. However, keep checking back! Guests have up to three days before setting sail to cancel any of their Port Adventures or onboard activities, so the weeks leading up to your sailing are an especially a good time to check back online for new cabana availability. If your sail date arrives and you're still hoping to enjoy a private cabana, check in with Guest Services onboard. They may have a waitlist just in case there is a very last minute cancellation during the cruise.
But, even if you do not have a cabana, Castaway Cay has plenty of shade, lounge chairs, and umbrellas, so you will certainly find a spot that is perfect for your family to use as home base for the day. There are so many activities going on all day, you're sure to be busy exploring the island!
While you're checking in online, you may also consider making reservations for one of the adult exclusive dining spots
onboard for dinner or brunch on a sea day.
Palo is my favorite, and if you're on the Dream or Fantasy, Remy is simply superb! It is nice to let the kids enjoy time in the clubs while you sneak off for some adult time with your husband to enjoy some of the best food Disney has to offer, with one amazing view!
Don't forget to check out the various Port Adventures that are offered too, Beth!
