Welcome aboard, Christopher! In just a few days, your family will be arriving at Port Canaveral, ready to head out to sea with Captain Mickey and his crew!
I'm glad to hear you've booked Disney Cruise Line's Ground Transfers for your ride to the port. This is the easiest way to transition from land to sea and back again, since Disney takes care of all of the details. If you've sent your checked luggage ahead to the ship (either with Disney Cruise Line's tags right from the airport, or if you've stayed at a Disney resort the night before and they've sent your tagged bags ahead), all you'll need with you is your day bag containing any must-have items, and your cruise documents which include the booklet that you received in the mail and the online check-in forms you've printed. You'll also need your
passports or other required travel documents.
As you get off of the motorcoach, the Cast Members there will direct you through security then up the escalators to the port terminal waiting area. There you can check in at the desk, receive your boarding number, and explore the port area until your number is called to board the ship! Since I believe you are
first time cruisers with Disney, you'll enter the regular check-in line upstairs. Castaway Club members (those who have sailed with Disney before) have a separate line.
Disney makes it really easy, Christopher! Once your boarding number is called, you can make your way onto the ship. You will have the opportunity to take an embarkation photo as you board, then you'll walk into the atrium lobby of the ship as the Cast Members announce your family name and applaud your arrival! It really is a magical way to begin your vacation!
Have an amazing vacation, Christopher!
