If there is one vegetarian option on a table service lunch or dinner menu that is not to your liking, can you still call the restaurant to discuss another veggie alternative or is that you're only option? Thanks a million

Hi Cherry-Ann! The chefs at the restaurants at Walt Disney World are very accommodating. Some restaurants, like La Hacienda de San Angel, have special vegetarian menus available upon request, while others have only one or two vegetarian dishes listed on the main menu. If you don't see a meal that appeals to you, don't hesitate to tell your server that you're a vegetarian and ask what other options are available to you. You generally can make this request at the time you're dining at the restaurant rather than calling in advance. Most restaurants are prepared to deal with vegetarians without prior notice. You can however make a note on your reservations that you're a vegetarian or you can contact the Special Diets department in advance of your visit for assistance.

My son does not eat meat and is quite picky, and we've found the restaurants at Walt Disney World to be quite accommodating of his off-menu meal requests. Likewise, I've found that traditionally meat-laden restaurants such as the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue and 'Ohana have been able to make tasty vegetarian meals for me. Other restaurants have been happy to modify dishes to suit our tastes.

Have a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
