Where can one get a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at WDW? Does the Contemporary resort offer one and is it only open for DVC members? Can nonmembers attend? Thank you!

Vanessa, Thanksgiving is the holiday I look forward to the most because it includes two of my favorite things- family and food. Now, when you combine these things with The Most Magical Place on Earth, it raises everything to a whole new level! Currently, the Walt Disney World website does not have a list of restaurants that will serve special Thanksgiving menus in 2019, but based on previous years, you should have a few options to choose from.

The Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom Park is famous for its iconic Patriot's Platter, piled high with roasted turkey and traditional sides. Guests flock to gobble up this All-American feast, which is served year round. Personally, this would be my top pick!

Disney’s Contemporary Resort has hosted a "Liberty Feast" exclusively for Disney Vacation Club Members in the resort’s Fantasia Ballroom- bookings usually open sometime in early October. However, The Wave... of American Flavors typically has a Thanksgiving buffet with all the trimmings, which is available to all Guests. If you're looking for fine dining, the resort's California Grill also had a Thanksgiving menu in 2018.

Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort has the most magnificent Christmas tree on property, in my opinion, and the lobby will be decorated in time for your trip. I'd suggest combining a visit here with a family-style Thanksgiving feast at Whispering Canyon Cafe. Or, for a casual, down-home meal, Trail's End Restaurant at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort usually has a tasty buffet with seasonal fixings.

If all else fails, Vanessa, and you can't score a reservation, you can stop at Liberty Square Market or Fife & Drum Tavern for a Smoked Turkey Leg. Top this meal off with a visit to the Hall of Presidents in Magic Kingdom Park or The American Adventure in Epcot, and you've got the perfect Thanksgiving Day!

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania! I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique. It's incredible how many people you can find who love talking about "The Most Magical Place On Earth!" I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at my monthly Bunco club for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
