Hello, Kathleen, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
How exciting that you have a trip planned to
Disneyland Resort later this year! Although my “home” is
Walt Disney World Resort, I have had the pleasure of visiting
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park a handful of times, and there’s just something extra magical about being in the place that started it all.
Unfortunately, tickets between Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort are not transferable. The only coast-to-coast option is the
Disney Premier Passport, which gives the Passport-holder unlimited access to the two Disneyland Resort Theme Parks, as well as the four Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks and two Water Parks--plus the
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and
Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course (and lots of other perks, too).
Whether you’re just going for a day or two or have the ability to visit multiple days throughout the year, any time at a Disney Park is a good time! Before visiting Walt Disney’s original Theme Park, I was only familiar with the vast scope and size of Walt Disney World Resort. I absolutely love the small scale and intimate feeling of Disneyland Resort, though--especially the proximity of the two Theme Parks to one another and the
Downtown Disney District, too. While I love the variety of Walt Disney World Resort’s options, it’s awesome to have everything within walking distance at Disneyland Resort. I hope you agree, Kathleen! You’re sure to have a fabulous time at The Happiest Place on Earth.
Please let us know if there are any other questions we can answer for you as you plan your California adventure. My fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelists
Jennifer,
Kristin and
Tony are absolute experts on all things related to Disneyland Resort, so feel free to send questions their way, too.
Enjoy your trip!
