Ciao Julie,
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your
delizioso question. One of my favorite things about Walt Disney World is the variety of culinary options Guests are able to experience throughout their vacation. Italian cuisine is definitely a favorite of mine and three restaurants immediately come to mind, all for different reasons.
For a more upscale experience and an amazing menu of traditional italian flavors, I highly recommend
Il Mulino, located in the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel. Their wine selection is truly impeccable and and the food is perfeziono (perfection). The decor is sleek and inviting and their bar is a perfect place to begin or end your adult evening.
My second choice, is
Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria located in Italy, of Epcot's World Showcase. While more family friendly, their wood fired, thin crusted Neapolitan pizzas are of culinary perfection. My favorite is the Prosciutto e Melone Pizza- Mezzo Metro. This white pizza combines, two different kinds of cheese, the sweetness of cantaloupe, the saltiness of prosciutto and the bitterness of arugula. While there are several other pizza creations and menu options, the pizzas are worth the visit. The restaurant motif is bright and airy with three beautifully designed wood fire pizza ovens displayed allowing Guests to see and watch, as the pizzas are made.
Last, is a relatively brand new addition to Walt Disney World, located on Disney's Boardwalk,
Trattoria al Forno. For a more casual experience but some wonderful italian flavors, this is another option.
If I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance feel free to ask and bon appetit!
