Bright Suns, Carolyn! I see that you are planning to visit Black Spire Outpost in the next couple of weeks.
Upon entering Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, you will find yourself immersed in all things out-of-this-world. From the life-size Millennium Falcon to the Wookie and Stormtroopers wandering around, I’m sure you will feel like you have left Earth and arrived on the planet Batuu.
Inside the Millennium Falcon is
Smuggler’s Run. Here you have a chance to walk inside the iconic ship, and then enter the cockpit to take your own chance at being a pilot, engineer, or gunner. Hondo Ohnaka will give you instructions along the way, and you will work together with your travel party to complete the mission.
This attraction has a standby line, so you will simply head to the line once you have entered Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Much of this queue winds itself throughout different areas of the Millennium Falcon, so there is a lot to look at.
Some of the things around Batuu that DO require a reservation are
Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers, Droid Depot, and Oga’s Cantina. These are all available at 60 days before your visit to book. There could be openings on the day of your visit as well, if the force is in your favor. It is always worth asking at the entrance to them. Also,
Star Wars - Rise of the Resistance is currently using a virtual queue that is available at 7am or 1pm for you to try to join.
I hope your October visit to Batuu is an intergalactic success.
May the Force Be With You,
Tracy
