Hello there, Ellen! I'm so happy to welcome you to planDisney and thank you for sending this question in!
It sounds like you are referring to this year's
Southern California Resident Ticket Offer, which is valid for use through June 2, 2024. In general, the
terms and conditions for Disneyland Resort eTickets do have a provision that allows the amount paid for wholly unused, expired tickets to be applied to the purchase price of a new ticket of equal or greater value. Then, your Guest would simply pay any difference in price. In this case, I suspect that the original Southern California Resident Ticket that has been unused may be able to be upgraded at the Main Entrance Ticket Booth, but this is something that you would want to verify in the terms and conditions of the So Cal Resident Ticket since it may differ from a standard ticket. I suggest checking the email confirmation received at the time of purchase, because there may be specific language that refers to this provision. Alternatively, you can
call Guest Services to speak with a Cast Member about the details of this specific ticket offer.
I hope this gives you some avenues to pursue, Ellen. More than anything, I wish you and your loved ones a fabulous visit to Disneyland Resort that is full of unforgettable memories together. This year is such an exciting one, with
special celebrations and limited-time events happening all year long! If we can help with any other questions that come up as you continue planning your next visit, please come back to
planDisney. We'd love to share our personal advice to help you make the most of your time.
Wishing you Wondrous Journeys,
Tishra
