chEARs Lisa!
Thanks for roaming by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you've picked your
bare necessities, and are about to forget your worries at Walt Disney World!
So
Mother Nature's recipes are in full force at the 'World. This means that there is an attraction that is perfectly suited to every height, weight, and age. While some rides have
height (and your friend sounds like he meets the height!) and
health restrictions in place, there are no specific weight restrictions. That being said, some of the "thrill" ride vehicles may not be suited for all body types, because of the safety restraints. Most of the rides that require these restraints have a "
test seat" out front to preview you so that you can get an idea of how comfortable it will be for you.
At
Disney's Hollywood Studios,
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith's seat restraints come over your head, so the limiting factor might be his shoulders and chest rather than his specific weight. I will assure you though, a dear friend has a similar body makeup, and was perfectly comfortable in our stretch limo. It was the same situation when we rode
Expedition Everest at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Park the next day, the seats are bench-like, and the safety bar is adjustable.
When you ride
Space Mountain, you sit in a narrow rocket and rip-roar into inky blackness! The restraint comes down on your lap, but the seats are rather small. So, as you get to the loading dock, have your friend ask a Cast Member if he can be in the front position of the rocket. He will have a bit more legroom there!
Lisa, y' all are going to have a blast! I know by the end of this trip you will be just like Pooh and Christopher Robin when they said, "We didn't realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun."
