How does one get the magical extras? In particular, the miniature golf vouchers. Do you just use the bar code in the email or do I have to obtain a physical paper voucher? If so, is that done at check in or before the trip?

    Hiya Chris!

Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for visiting with your question. Your vacation countdown is nearly over, and you'll be visiting Walt Disney World so very soon! Wooo hoo! How exciting, and what a wonderful time of year to visit. Especially with free water park admission on arrival day for Disney Resort guests, and with BOTH Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon being open starting on May 21. There's so much fun for you to choose from!

Receiving a free round of 18-hole miniature golf at either the Winter Summerland or Fantasia Gardens and Fairways courses is an awesome "Magical Extra" and just one of the perks that Disney Resort guests enjoy.

Hakuna Matata, Chris! You don't need to worry or do anything special before your trip, or even at check-in, to receive your Magical Extras. This is a well established benefit program, and there are multiple ways to access and use your free entitlement vouchers.

Any day now, you may be receiving in the mail a packet which contains physical vouchers for your Magical Extras like mini golf, ESPN Wide World of Sports, and other discount cards. I love receiving Mickey Mail as our trip approaches! However, please don't worry if you do not receive the vouchers in the mail. These free mini golf entitlements will also be attached to your My Disney account reservation, so they can be accessed through multiple methods.

Any of the following should work to claim your free mini golf session:

    • Use your MagicBand
    • Use the My Disney Experience app
    • Swing by the front desk of your resort and ask for a Key to the World card (which can be used in place of a MagicBand).
You're going to want to have the My Disney Experience app installed and ready to go prior to your trip no matter which option you choose. It's so helpful throughout your Disney Day! You'll find yourself using the app for things like opening your resort room, park entry, Lightning Lane passes, checking attraction wait times, finding the bus schedules from your resort to the parks, or even mobile ordering food so you can skip the stand by lines during busy lunch.

Chris, I'm sending pixie-dust your way to have the Best. Trip. Ever!!! Please send me a message at planDisney if I can help with any additional questions.

    See ya' real soon!
    Tami
