One of the highlights of my visit to Disneyland is to celebrate Mickey & Minnie's birthday. I recall they distribute a special button to join in the fun. Are those only given out at DLP or at both parks? If so, should I plan on being at DLR 1st

    Welcome back to planDisney, Tom!

Since life is sweet here, you’ve got to be here, naturally.

I loved reading your question because I love remembering all of the various designs on the Mickey & Minne birthday celebration buttons! A few months back, I felt surprised and delighted to find a “Happy 63rd Birthday!” button that I had treasured in the '90s that my mom had placed on my desk in my childhood room. It's awesome that you have a tradition of collecting these buttons too!

While the Resort hasn't announced specific plans for Mickey & Minnie’s 96th birthday on November 18th yet, based on history, we can expect buttons to be passed out that day at retail locations throughout the resort, and maybe the entrance gates at both parks. I wouldn’t worry about which theme park to reserve first, Tom. If there's a giveaway, I'm willing to bet my favorite Minnie Ear Headband that there will be plenty to go around all day, and maybe even beyond. Also, I remember being able to pick up a button at the Disneyland Hotel’s gift shop or at World of Disney in the Downtown Disney District so that every Mouseketeer can join in the fun, even without a theme park ticket!

Well, Tom, the lute play the flute, the carp play the harp, the plaice play the bass…and I have to get back to answering more questions. So just swim back to my direct link again if you think of any more!
