If one of the guests in my party cannot make it to the dining reservation is there a way to modify the number of guests so I’m not charged?

    Welcome to planDisney, Erica!

No Walt Disney World Resort vacation would be complete without partaking in some of the amazing dining opportunities!  It is completely understandable that some Guests might have a change of plans.  You should be able to modify the number of Guests on your dining reservation by selecting "Change Reservation" when viewing your dining reservation under "My Plans" on the My Disney Experience website.  When using the My Disney Experience app, select the dining reservation you wish to change under "Future Plans" and then select the modify option.

If you are unable to edit the number of Guests on your reservation through your My Disney Experience account, just let the Cast Member at the host stand at your dining location know that you will have one fewer Guest in your party.  In my experience, as long as the rest of your party arrives for your reservation, you will not be charged a cancellation fee.

I hope that helps!  Please stop by and see us again if you have any additional questions.  Enjoy your visit!
