We have one of our granddaughters in our room at New Orleans Riverside and would like to know how to request a connected or adjacent room with her family?

Hiya, William! Boy oh boy, I love taking trips to Walt Disney World with grandchildren. They've become quite a specialty for me lately, as I hate to go anywhere without my littles in tow.

There are many connecting rooms at the Disney Resorts Collection hotels, and you can absolutely request one at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. I have one word of caution, William. The room requests cannot be guaranteed, but they do try very hard to accommodate them.

Your best bet for making room requests such as this one is to call a Cast Member at 407-939-1936. You can make some requests through My Disney Experience, but that allows primarily only room location requests.

I do not have a spoonful of sugar, William, so I'm just going to give this to you straight. Wait times on the phone are pretty long right now. You can make this request when you check-in at your resort, but it's better to do it in advance. I recommend calling either right at 7 AM when the phone lines open, or waiting until later in the evening - closer to the 11 PM closing time. Make sure you have both room reservation confirmation numbers handy when you call.

I am going to hope some pixie dust flies your way, and your room request is available! And I wish you an absolutely magical, memorable trip with your family!
