    One more ?..future son-in-law might propose to my daughter when we are there in Oct.....any idea how much the carriage ride at POR Riv is....this is where we will be staying. Love the glass slipper idea but too expensive. Or any other suggestions????

    On my last trip to WDW, I actually took a photo of the sign marking the Riverside Carriage Ride station at Port Orleans. Now I know why I did this ... so I can tell you what it says. Here's the sign verbatim (but remember that prices could change):

    Horsedrawn Carriage Rides
    Rides Nightly
    6:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. weather permitting
    Seating Capacity: 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children
    25 minute ride - $35
    Advance reservations: 407-WDW-PLAY (407-939-7529)
    Same day reservations: 407-824-2832
    Walk-Ups May Be Available

    A carriage ride would be such a lovely place to propose. Be sure and bring a camera to capture all those happy tears that will be flowing after the ride.
