Hi Roberta!
Welcome to planDisney! I recently experienced a similar situation, so I’m happy to help out!
From my experience, even if the person who originally made the reservation is unable to join, the rest of the party will still be able to enjoy the restaurant. Just make sure that your family member adds each person to the reservation.
She’ll want to start by linking to everyone in your travel party via her
Family & Friends List. To do so, click the 3 lines in the bottom right corner of the My Disney Experience app, then scroll down to click Profile. Once you click Family & Friends List at the top of that page, you’ll be able to see who you’re linked to. If everyone’s already linked, great! But if not, click (+) Add a Guest and follow the prompts.
Once your whole party is linked, your family member can modify the dining reservation to add each guest to the reservation. At that time, everyone on the reservation should be able to see the plans in their My Disney Experience app.
When it’s time to go to
Space 220, anyone on the reservation can check in on the My Disney Experience app or with a Cast Member at the entrance of the restaurant.
With the atmosphere being so cool at Space 220, I highly recommend
peeking at the menu ahead of time. That way, you can spend your time taking in fun views instead of figuring out what you want to eat and drink!
I’m so sorry your family member is no longer able to join you on your trip, but I hope you still have the most amazing time! If you have any other questions, feel free to come back and visit us. We’re always happy to help!
