Hi, Nicole! Although the characters and attractions take center stage, shopping at Walt Disney World Resort has become quite the experience, especially with the recent expansion over at
Disney Springs. My husband has just given into my "Disney Addiction," as he calls it, and automatically brings along an extra suitcase every trip! I have a few Moms Panel tips for how you can get those "
souven-EARs" safely home.
There are several
Business Centers located at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and they can be found inside the conference centers of Disney Convention Hotels. The closest one to your resort would be at Disney's Beach Club Resort. Ask the Front Desk at your hotel if they will deliver your items to the Business Center for shipping (a small handling fee may apply); or if you prefer, you may bring your packages to the Business Center yourself.
Also, Disney has developed a shopping app that solves problems for souvenir hunters. During my last trip, I found the most adorable Minnie Mouse tee, that I had to have! Unfortunately, I couldn't find it anywhere on property in my size, so I pulled up the
Shop Disney Parks App on my phone, scanned the barcode, and had it sent right to my door. It was super easy and only took moments to do. This would be a stress-free option for you.
I've also heard from an unofficial source that some merchandise locations, such as
Mouse Gear and
World of Disney, will ship your purchases home for a small fee. I haven't tried this myself, but it never hurts to ask!
Enjoy your stay at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Nicole! You're going to love the colorful, laid-back vibe of this resort, and the
Banana Cabana Pool Bar is a fantastic place to rest those weary feet after all that shopping!
