Hi Eleen!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Attending Mass on vacation is a wonderful family activity and I love that while the Mass itself is universal, different parishes incorporate their traditions into their services. In the past, a Sunday Catholic Mass was offered at the Walt Disney World Resort. You have a good memory, as it was celebrated at the Luau Cove at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! While regular Sunday Mass is no longer offered on property, if your visit corresponds with the Christmas or Easter holiday, Disney has continued to offer a lovely Catholic Mass for those occasions in the ballroom of
Disney’s Contemporary Resort. For daily or Sunday Mass, you’ll find the Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe just a few short miles from Walt Disney World. The parish was founded specifically to minister to Catholics vacationing in the Orlando area. The Basilica is just a short taxi or Lyft ride from most resort hotels and offers daily Mass, a Saturday Vigil Mass and four Masses on Sundays and Holy Days. I would even recommend you leave yourself extra time to visit before or after services, as in addition to the main church, there is a Mother & Child Outdoor Chapel, a Pilgrimage Center, a large collection of sacred art, and a Rosary Garden. I recommend a visit to their website for even more detailed information.
Wishing you a magical vacation, Eleen. Please let us know if you have any additional questions as you plan your visit!
