Hello once again!! DCL is May 12th yeah!!! Kids is 6 & 8 very advance wanted to know if allowed in Edge girl 8 will be 9 on cruise just in case Oceaneer is a bit young for them? So ready to go!!!!

    Hi again Tracey!
I'm so glad you are back!  Only about two months to go until all the fun, wonder, and excitement on the high seas begins!  I understand wanting your daughter to enjoy her time onboard, but I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the programming offered in the Oceaneer Lab on the Disney Dream.  The lab's layout and activities are geared towards the older cruisers (ages 8-12) who are checked in.  I would suggest visiting the facility on the first afternoon as a family so you can get a good idea of everything that will be offered during your sailing. The counselors will be there to answer any of your questions.
I know there is some flexibility with younger cruisers who want to move up, but I think she would have a better chance to move up if she was 10 since the suggested age is 11.  Edge will offer "Open House" hours throughout your cruise, and you will be able to accompany her to the tween club for either planned programming or free time.  My daughter was 10 on our last cruise, and we did this together and it was a great way to get a feel for Edge.  You can always ask the youth counselors at Edge about moving her up once you are onboard because it never hurts to ask.
Enjoy counting down the rest of the days, Tracey!  It will be here before you know it!
