Ahoy, Aiden!
It's wonderful to hear from you again with more great questions about your upcoming cruise! Your daughter is going to love spending time in the youth spaces onboard Disney Cruise Line! She'll be able to enjoy the planned programming as well as free play when she's checked in for fun! You will be able to make a list of who can sign your daughter out when you complete the registration for the youth programming online. 13 is currently the minimum age to sign out a sailor from the
Oceaneer Club or
Oceaneer Lab. If your other daughter or niece are 13 or older, you can include them on the list of signers. The minimum age for a sailor to self-check is currently eight so your daughter has a few more years to go. But, the good news is that she can move back and forth between the club and lab if both are open for secured programming. When my kiddos were younger, they enjoyed having this option and would move back and forth frequently so they could experience the activities and themed areas that are unique to each space.
I suggest visiting the Oceaneer Club and Lab on the first afternoon with your princess so she can check out the spaces with you and get comfortable with her surroundings. The counselors will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about the programming. I always use this time to take pictures of the areas, as pictures aren't allowed during secured programming. Another tip is that you'll want to go over the planned events for each area when you get your cruise newsletter delivered to your stateroom each night. This will give you a good idea of what the following day will look like for you and the girls!
Aiden, it's been a pleasure assisting you! We hope you'll visit again real soon.
