I have some old tickets.I’m guessing around the 60’s or 70’s.The back of the booklet is purple and it says 10 Adventures in Disneyland and price says $3. It has A,B,C and D coupons.Don’t see and expiration date. Are these collectible, and valid to use today

Greetings, Michael, and welcome to planDisney!

Thanks for submitting your question to us and it would be my pleasure to respond to it! It definitely put a smile on my face because I'm old enough to remember when Disneyland Ticket Books were a thing and they bring back such a sense of nostalgia whenever I hear about them.

I reached out to a friendly Cast Member on your behalf and inquired about old Ticket Books. You'll be happy to know that they do not lose their value and, if you were to take the book to the Main Entrance Ticket Booth, you would receive credit determined by the value of the ticket when it was purchased, which in your case sounds like it would be $3.00. However, to answer your second question, you have a highly sought after collector's item on your hands! It is likely worth way more to a collector than if it were to be redeemed as a ticket and I encourage you to hold onto it!

Let's try and date your Ticket Book. The "D" coupon was first released in June of 1956. The infamous "E" ticket coupons weren't introduced until 1959. Unless there are "E" tickets torn out of your Ticket Book, your tickets could be from as early as 1956! How cool is that?! If you research old Disneyland ticket costs, you'll find that they charged anywhere from about $2.75 to $5.25 back then, so I'd imagine that your Book will be much more valuable as a collector's item. Disney Legend Tony Baxter even has his books safely stored in an album for viewing!

If you are interested in visiting the Disneyland Resort, it's really easy to purchase Theme Park Tickets online through the Disneyland website. There's even a special 3-Day Disneyland Ticket Offer going on right now! This way, reservations will already be created for you, so you won't have to worry about availability if you were to just approach the Ticket Booth.

Michael, thanks for allowing me to go down memory lane and reminisce about Ticket Books. If you have any more questions for us, please don't hesitate to write again. You're always welcome at planDisney and we'd love to hear from you!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
