Welcome to planDisney, Rocco, where we're as relaxed as palm trees swaying in the breezes of the Florida Keys.
Disney's Old Key West Resort holds a special place in my heart, so I'm excited you'll experience its charm and laid-back ambiance. Let's talk about the transportation options at this resort so you can kick back and relax on your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit.
Several of the larger
Disney Resort Hotels use an internal shuttle service to help guests get around the property, but you're correct that this service will not drop off at the Hospitality House. The best way to transport your luggage to the Hospitality House on checkout day is to head to the nearest
Disney Bus Service stop. These are located throughout the resort for guests' convenience, so one should be close to your room. These buses will take guests to the theme parks, and their last stop at the resort is typically the Hospitality House. These buses start running about 30 minutes before the theme parks open, so you can hop on the first bus that arrives at your stop. I'd recommend letting the driver know that you'd like to be dropped off at the Hospitality House before you load up, and they might direct you to put your luggage in a specific spot.
Rocco, did you know that guests at Disney Deluxe Resorts have a special perk called
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours? On most Mondays and Wednesdays, you can access select parks for a few extra hours after closing. On a recent visit, my husband and I enjoyed the light crowds and low wait times at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Park. If the
calendar shows any extended hours during your stay, my tip is to return to the resort for a nap or dip in the pool during the heat of the day. Then head back to the park for some extra fun after dark!
I'm sprinkling pixie dust and palm fronds that your upcoming visit is as magical as a trip to the islands, Rocco. Please
stop by planDisney anytime. I'll have a coconut drink waiting for you!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
