Like Aladdin loved the magic lamp, I, too, love my MagicBands! So much so that I have several, as they’re my favorite theme park accessory. Not only are they adorable, but with just a tap, Guests can enter the theme parks with
valid admission, charge back to their
Disney Resort hotel room, and even unlock their Disney Resort hotel room door! It feels like when Genie said, “Phenomenal cosmic powers, itty bitty living space,” he was talking about MagicBands!
Andrea, I still love using my older MagicBands, especially my very favorite, an Aladdin and Jasmine Valentine’s Day limited edition MagicBand from 2018. Depending on the battery life, yours could still work, as well! If your MagicBands’ still work, they will appear as “active” on your My Disney Experience account. To check, please follow these steps:
-Open your
My Disney Experience Mobile App, and tap on the three horizontal lines on the bottom right.
-Tap the three horizontal lines on the bottom right and select
My Profile.
-Next, choose
MagicBands & Cards and
Your MagicBands & Cards.
-Look for the ID that matches your MagicBand and check whether it has
Active or
Inactive next to it. If it still works, it should say
Active, and you should be all set!
Although some of my older MagicBands still work, they stopped receiving
Disney PhotoPass attraction photos and videos. So to not miss out on the incredible keepsakes Disney PhotoPass pictures and videos can be, simply set up your
Disney MagicMobile service on your smartphone. As long as your smartphone’s Bluetooth is enabled while you’re at the parks, your photos and videos will link to your
My Disney Experience account.
You can also purchase the new
MagicBand+ as it comes with all the incredible perks the MagicBand does, and it has a rechargeable battery. I recently learned that MagicBand+ is also waterproof for pools and water rides!
