Is it still okay to not be staying at the Grand Californian or to have a park ticket to dine at storytellers cafe?

    Welcome to planDisney, Alejandra!

Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is one of our favorite destinations at Disneyland Resort. I love staying there, but I also jump at the chance to spend time there dining, shopping, or relaxing at Tenaya Stone Spa. Let's take a look at your dining options!

I have great news for you, you do not have to be a Guest at the Grand Californian or have park admission to dine at Storytellers Cafe, since it is located inside the hotel. I would strongly recommend that you secure a reservation for Storytellers Cafe, as they might not allow walk-ups. If you are driving and need to park at the Grand Californian, just let security know that you have a dining reservation at Storytellers Cafe, and you should be allowed to park, but it will be at security's discretion. You can use the Disneyland Mobile App to confirm the reservation. Make sure you check out Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast or Lunch Buffet when looking at reservations, it is a delightful character dining with a scrumptious buffet.

Thank you for visiting planDisney. We are here for all your Disneyland Resort questions!

    Enjoy making magical memories!
