Hi Christina,
You sure seem smart to me! I mean, you're planning your first Walt Disney World Resort vacation (HOORAY!) and knew to stop by planDisney for a little help. That's the exact right thing to do, and we'd LOVE to help you navigate the details of your trip. There's no such thing as a silly question here!
The wonderful thing about a Disney vacation is that once you've accounted for transportation, lodging, your
theme park tickets, and some food, that really covers all the necessities. All of the
attractions and in-park
entertainment options are included with the cost of your ticket and will provide enough magic and fun to fill your theme park days. While there are
special events and tours that you
could add on, you'll have plenty to experience as a first-time Guest, plus many of those are still unavailable as part of the
phased reopening. Does that mean I don't think you'll want any extra spending money? No, I would definitely plan for some incidentals each day (like
parking,
locker rentals, and some
food), but I do think you can feel free to only bring what you're comfortable spending. Some Guests choose to
pack their own meals (yes, you're allowed to do that!) and find really inexpensive souvenirs like
pressed pennies, needing very little spending money for their vacations. Other Guests love planning
special meals and purchasing many souvenirs to help bring Disney magic home with them, bringing lots of discretionary spending money with them. The beautiful thing is that you can feel free to do whatever works best for YOU and your vacation will be incredible!
Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney, Christina, and please feel free to come back and see us any time! I'm sure you have lots of questions as a first-time Guest, and we're always here and happy to help. I'm sending lots of pixie dust for a truly magical vacation!
Missy
