Is it ok to wear a skirt like Minnie Mouse to the parks?

Hi Curtis! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.

It looks like you’re planning a trip to The Happiest Place on Earth this Spring. In addition to figuring out where to stay, which restaurants to dine at, or which exciting attractions to go on, another fun component to trip-planning is deciding what to where!

Wearing regular pieces found in your closet that references Disney characters is allowed at Disneyland Resort. Many Guests “Disneybound” during visits to the parks, dressed in similar colors and/or pairing with accessories as their favorite Disney characters. It can be as subtle or elaborate as you would like. For example, on a recent trip to the Disneyland Park, my husband wore a red shirt and yellow pants as a reference to Winnie-the-Pooh, while I wore a grayish-blue dress and a pink bow in my hair for Eeyore. In your family's case, wearing a skirt like Minnie Mouse, such as a red bottom with white polka dots is allowed. However, please be aware that wearing a full costume is not permitted for Guests over 14 years of age

As you continue to plan your upcoming trip, Curtis, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at planDisney again. Oh and a Happy New Year to you!

    Wishing you a magical day,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
